Delta Sport Kites

"Hi there. This is Corey Jensen from Wind Power Sports and welcome to Las Vegas baby. We have a moment where the wind has died and we are going to go through some of the assembly features on the Delta Wings Sport Kite. As a representative example this is a Benson Inner Space by Tim Benson in England. Top spreader, two bottom spreaders and a stand off on either side that holds the sail open regardless of the wind’s pressure. A two piece leading edge and a spine right down the middle. Those are the major components. One of the tricks when you are doing an assembly on a kite like this you learn this the hard way, at least I did, you want to cup your hand around the fitting and put the spar in. Not doing that little precaution occasionally will result in a hole right there in the sail of your kite. It’s all right. The kite isn’t dead but you feel pretty stupid every time you see that. You will find a little piece of clear plastic tape around the corners taped on the backside of the sail; you are good to go then. Bridles should be clear off of each of the fittings on the leading edge and from the spine. Here on front of the bridle typically these days instead of a clip we have what is called a pigtail and it is usually a short piece of line that ends in a small knot and the attachment of the lines through the kite is what we are going to do next.
