" Push turns and pull turns. Typically you pull but you can push and the kite will respond. Oops, don’t want to stall it. It’s one of those gusty windy days. We just lost the wind. Notice that as long as we take advantage of this notice how my feet moved. When the kite goes through the downwind and I’ll step forward and when the kite gets out toward the edge I’ll step back or swing my arms back a little bit to give myself that little bit of power boost that I need to make that maneuver. Right down in the middle of the wind there is usually plenty of pressure and that is when I can reclaim my ground. Notice that my hands are at my side rather than out in front of me. Your arms work well as levers than they do as pistons transferring energy through large muscle groups down the length of your back and your thighs rather than concentrating it all in the thin muscles that are along your forearms. So it is a combination of little tiny moves of your feet, little tiny moves from your hands and little tiny moves from your arms. "
