" Hi! This is Daniel on behalf of Expert Village in this clip we’re going to be talking about the different terms that are used in the game 21 or more commonly known as blackjack. The first term that you want to associate yourself with is buy in, to buy in is simply to change your money in hand for casino chips which will allow you to bet. The next term is minimum bet, every table has a minimum that will allow you to bet on a hand, just simply want to look for this sign that’s placed on the table or sometimes on the felt of the table it will have your minimum. The next term is placing a bet, placing a bet is simply taking your chips and placing it on the table in front of you, there’s either a square or a circle for you to place your money in and that lets the dealer know that you’re placing a bet. The next term is to hit, after you’ve been dealt two cards if you feel that another card would be advantages to your hand you simply say hit or hit me, you can also use the sign with your cards of rubbing them towards you that let’s the dealer know that you’d like another card. The next term is to stand, to stand you either tell the dealer that you would like to stand or wave your hand over your cards letting him know that you want no more cards that is to stand. The next term is double down, to double down is simply to look at your hand and realize that one more card would probably give you a winning hand based upon odds. Doubling down simply is taking the same bet that you already have on the table if it’s two chips, taking two more chips and placing it next to those and letting the dealer know that you’ve doubled down that will give you one more card."
