" Hi! My name is Dan, and I am here with Expert Village today to show you how to tie a running figure 8. It is a useful knot if you want a figure 8 in the middle of your line, but the line to have its tail end running in opposing directions. Start like you are tying a figure 8 on a bite, so now there is a figure 8 being followed with its own tail. I can tie it one more time. Take your bite, loop around and come up through only one of the lines, and finish off like a regular figure 8. Now you have a running figure 8. "
