" Hi! My name is Dan, and I am here with Expert Village, and today I am going to show you how to tie the triple bowline, which is a useful knot if you need three loops at the end of a line. It is tied just like tying a regular bowline, except you need to make a bite in your line. So you take your bite in your right hand, your two lines in your left, cross them, now tie, depending on how big you want your loops to be. So we are going to have loops that are 6 inches long, all three of them. So I am going to take my bite and wrap around the back of my bowline, follow through just like on a standard bowline. So now I have three fixed loops in a line. It is easy to untie as a standard bowline: you just break it back, pull the bite through and untie it. I can tie it one more time for you. Take your bite and cross over. I’m going to make it this time with one loop longer than the other two. So I have one long loop and two short loops. This is a useful knot for climbing when you are making a triple equalized anchor, which you will get to see in my climbing segment. "
