" Hi! My name is Dan, and I am here with Expert Village, and today I am going to show you how to make a decorative necklace called the monkey’s fist necklace. The monkey’s fist is often tied with a marble or small stone inside the middle of it to help it retain its shape. They are also an ancient mariner’s knot used in sailing. Once you have tied a small monkey’s fist, and in order to turn it into a necklace you want to tie a double fisherman’s knot. You tie one sliding knot in one direction, and you tie the same sliding knot in the other tail end of your line… and there you have an adjustable monkey’s fist necklace. "
