"Now, there are all kinds of negative storage systems out there. Some, again being pretty expensive. To others, being about the most inexpensive you can get. And, that's actually my favorite is the old binder. Ok. When you make and you cut your negatives and you store them, if you just keep them in a binder like this you'd be surprised how nice and easy they are to get to when you want to look at your contact sheet or when you want to print. Now, there's some forms of sleeving out there where you can actually store the contact sheet in with your negatives. This is not one of them. But, what they do is they just slide right in and you just put it in your binder and you're good to go. I've encountered beginning students, that this really seems to be one of the hardest things to understand is just keeping your negatives and contact sheets in one place. And, I can't stress enough how much more enjoyable printing in a dark room becomes when you can just find the tool you need the negative you need and you go right to work. It will become an absolute joy, rather than scrambling around looking for the negatives that you might have left at home or you don't know where you put them. So, it's one thing that I really like doing is keeping everything nice and neat and labeled."
