"So in my hand is a strip of 35mm negatives. Now what I'm doing now is I'm actually putting the negative into the sleeving. And on this sleeving it's pretty easy, it says "insert emulsion side down." When we get into printing, we're going to talk a lot about emulsion. But what the emulsion is, is the side of the film that actually has the silver coating on it. That really is what makes the film, film. So you want to make sure that you have it down. And on most films, with most but no all cameras, you just read it. And it says, Kodak, Agfa, Fuji, what have you. And you slide it in. And this is where really making sure this film is dry is important. You never want to sleeve wet negatives. Sort of back to that time thing. It's better to be patient and wait, rather than just try to rush something. I like to keep them in order to, it helps, some people don't. But I think keeping them, I like keeping them in descending order, but that's just me. And I sleeve them, and this is the first step in preparation to make our contact sheet."
