"Hi my names Austin Harmon but out here I'm known as Forest Evergreen. And I'm here on ExpertVillage.com to teach you about the game of Amtgard. One last thing I want to tell you about is the armor in our game. Armor is rated based on how much protection we give you and it can be anywhere from one to six points of armor. And that basically means how many shots you can take before it no longer protect you. This we count as five point armor, it is thick leather, it is hardened leather and then it has metal scales added onto it which is considered Brigideen style armor. This is going to be five points up here and the lower legs are also five because there are metal plates in between the two leather pieces so that would protect my leg, my upper legs, my body. So any normal shot would have to hit five times and then the sixth shot would actually affect me if it were to hit me in the torso, then I would actually die. So this is armor, I would actually have to have help getting into this and then of course I would need help getting out of it which is much like in the old days. They actually wouldn't get in and out of armor by themselves it was too bulky and then they didn't a didn't work for one person trying to get in and out of their own armor. We have chain mail, plate mail, just basic leather armor, cloth armor which is four pieces of thick cloth put together. Lots of different styles of armor and the amount that protects you varies depending on what style it is."
