    "In this clip, we're going to talk about factions. Particularly, the Alliance faction. Once you've started the game, you've installed it. Once you've downloaded all the information, the patches and things and got ready to play. And, then you've chosen your realm. In this case, we've chosen the Ghost Lands. What you need it do is next, pick up faction. So, you go to create new character. So, you click on that and it's going to give you a lot of options. We're going to talk about the Alliance first. The Alliance is one of two factions. You have the Alliance and the Horde. And, Alliance players can't even talk to Horde player characters. They're completely, there was a war. In the mythology of the game, there was a war at some point. And, the two factions worked together during the war. But, once the war was over they split apart and now they fight each other. For the Alliance, is represented by five different races. You have humans. You have dwarves. You have night elves. You have gnomes. And, you have the draenei. And, each of these characters, these races is part of the alliance faction. And, as an Alliance player you'll fight in the alliance battlegrounds against the Horde. And, as an Alliance player you'll have certain advantages and disadvantages. You'll have access to certain cities that the horde don't have access to. For example, Storm Wind and Iron Forge are two very important cities to the Alliance faction. The Horde would of course attack those cities. The Alliance would defend them. And, that's where you do a lot of your commerce. But, you would play an Alliance character if you wanted to play one of these five races and fight for that particular faction. So, if your friends that you know who are on this realm and you plan to play with you'll want to find out before you pick a faction what those friends are playing. Like for example, if I want to if my friends are playing humans and gnomes as their characters it would be silly of me to choose a Horde character. Because I'm going to want to play with my friends on here. And, I wouldn't be able to do that if I chose in a Horde character. So, you'll want to restrict yourself to Alliance characters if that's what your friends are playing."
