Series Summary

Chinese chess is much like American chess. You have many of the same pieces that move in similar ways but there are a few major differences including Protector pieces and Jumper pieces. There is only one king on a side or one queen on a side and the object of the game is to take the opponent's king or queen depending on which side you are on. This is one of the oldest board games known dating back as far as the 4th century BC. Today there are tournaments and professionals that make a living with the game.

This is a great informative series that will teach anyone how to easily play and win at Chinese chess. Our expert walks you through each piece in detail describing the ways they move and take over other pieces. He even throws in a few tips on how to dominate an opponent very quickly and end the game before it even begins. It's a complicated game but with this series you'll be able to impress your friends with your new skills and show them you're a force to be reckoned with!

Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Billy and on behalf of expertvillage.com today I'm going to be teaching you how to play Chinese chess we are located in Chinatown. So basically Chinese chess is pretty similar to American chess except that it is divided in the red and the green. It just tells you it doesn't really matter which color. Some people like the red and some people like the green. So basically in the Chinese chess this is the pawns all of the front line here is the pawns. So it is all the same even if they are very different this is the same. This here on the corner it is a horse it is a replacement so on both of the corners horse so it is the same thing as the American chess. It will go however anyways you want as the opening you could go here from here to there. If there is no opening if there is a opening here we go from here once it is block you can't. You can't go anywhere further. "
