"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Bob Lanning and I’m here to tell you about how we’re making model villages. On this building here, this is the old Civic Center, built in the 30’s. Actually it was the WPA project, made of river rock from right here in Cottonwood and Kenny. Our building master took pictures of the actual building and puts them on Photoshop, shrinks them down to an HO size, and then prints them out and pastes them to the side of the cardboards, which are usually just cereal boxes that he used to give the good stiff backing for this, and then you, as you can see, it represents the real building fairly well. You can see the windows that are from the actual photo and the year it was built, 1939. The door, the old wooden door, the stonework and it makes a fairly accurate looking building and here’s the windows, and there’s a, it’s like a big gymnasium, a meeting place, so it comes out very well.
