"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Bob Lanning and I’m here to tell you about how we’re making model villages. The village of Cottonwood really doesn’t fit, was never involved with the railroad itself, but many of our visitors have asked why it’s not here, so we’ve uh, jammed Cottonwood into here and tried to make it fit in, in relationship to the rest of the diorama and uh, these buildings were all made by taking photographs of the actual buildings and some from archives of the museum, so you can see what businesses were there. And uh, but most of it, looks like it in the 50’s today, if you drive down old town Cottonwood. He took pictures of buildings and we have a fellow named Dick Kinney that takes Adobe Photoshop and picks out the actual textures and bricks and stucco and pastes them onto buildings, most of which were made out of cereal boxes.
