" Hi! I am Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of expertvillage.com. I am going to show you some more about balloon animals. In this clip, I am going to show you how to lock down those twists we were talking about before. First thing you got to do is to make sure you get those twists like so. What we can do to lock them down, when you fold it over, take two portions that have been twisted, you are going to pull them apart slightly, twist them together and that is going to lock your twist in place. And the reason you want to pull them apart is because that creates less friction; less friction is less chance of popping. So make sure you get a nice pull, get some space in there. You are going to wrap those two spots around each other to lock your balloon in place. Now sometimes you can even, just go straight into a lock without making the twist prior. First I can just fold them over here, just take these two positions, pinch and twist and that is going to lock my shape in place. That is the basic lock for balloons. You hold them; you pull them apart just because that is what is going to create the most opportunity for popping because that friction right there, you hear that squeaking just as the balloon rubbing against each other. That is what makes the balloons pop, so make sure you pull them apart, twist slowly, just give it a couple of twists, then over twist, that is the lock. In the next clip, we will make our first animal."
