" Hi! I’m Carlos Ramos Jr. on behalf of Expert Village. Today we’re talking about the game of solitaire. Right now, we’re going to get into what’s needed to get the standard version of solitaire going. In this card game, you’re going to need a deck of 52 playing cards, a nice table or some other flat surface to play on, and a light. I always bring something to illuminate the cards so you see what you’re doing. Now, each deck consists of 13 hearts, 13 diamonds, 13 spades, and 13 clubs. Within each of these suits, there needs to have an ace, king, queen, and jack. You need to have all of those in each one. Now, once you have all of this ready and it’s all set up and you verified everything is there, you can go ahead and begin your shuffle. The way I shuffle isn’t very complicated. What I usually do is I just grab the cards here and I just slide them between each other. Just a few time to make sure it’s all mixed up and not repeating any suits or anything like that. Alright, so you verified your deck, you have nice surface to play on, you got some illumination, your deck’s shuffled, and you’re ready to go ahead and start the deal. "
