"Hi! My name is Carlos Ramos Jr. coming to you on behalf Expert Village and today we're talking about the game of Chinese checkers. Let's go over the board a little bit, this board can be a little intimidate and look a little bit complicated but once you break it down it gets pretty simple. The board is in the shape of a 6 point star obviously, now each point of the star has a triangle and that has 10 holes 4 holes each side so each point should have 4 holes on each side and 10 holes in total which we do have here for each one. If it doesn't the board set up wrong won't be able to play because eventually this is where you're going to position your men and we'll get into that a little later. The interior of the board is a hexagon which side 5 holes are on it. So if you could have enough hands to cover each triangle the point, you'd get in the middle here the interior a hexagon and each one will have 5 holes, 2, 3, 4, 5 and again if you don't have 5 across the board in this little hexagon in the interior then the board is setup wrong but that's the basic board.
