How to Apply Foundation with Stippling

" Thank for joining me at expertvillage.com. Hi I'm Yvette Parish, and this is my beautiful model Tam Welton today, and what we are going to be doing is doing a dramatic make over on Tam. Applying a little bit here and focusing. I have not put to much under her eyes yet; I'm really looking at the center panel. I'm continuing to grab the foundation in a downward way. I'm just checking right here, her center. I'm taking the sponge; I'm just kind of going over it loosely over her eyelids. Alright open your eyes. Now we have some foundation on it, on her, we can kind of see where she needs a little extra concealer. Now that we have the foundation, I really only see her needing some more additional coverage around her eyes. This foundation really made her smooth and flawless in other parts of her face. Alright so I'm going to use my finger, and I'm going to grab a little bit. Remember when we use our fingers, we get more product, because the sponge absorbs so much. So now I want to get more product. Look up, and I'm going to apply it under here, and you'll notice that I'm not using a concealer, I'm using a foundation. So I want to use as much as a foundation that I can before I get to the concealer. The concealer has a different consistency, and it is typically thicker. I don't want—if I can get away with putting less product on here it would just even look prettier. So what I'm doing is called stippling, and I'm stippling the foundation where she needs it. Now if you see if you can compare it it is a big difference. Now we are going to do the same. We still haven't touched the concealer yet—we are just doing the foundation."
