"Hi! I am Yvette Parrish, thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Eyes are so much fun, and there are really not a lot of rules. I’m going to give you some tips to some basic outlines. It is very pretty; we applied one color, which is the plum color. I am going to take a little bit of the white eye shadow in this palette, and I am pressing it in the ball of her eye. Remember I am not blending yet, everybody just slow down on the blending. Take your time, take a step back, and apply it where you want it to be. Open. I look and I see the highlight is where I want it to be. Close. Notice, I am just grabbing color on both sides of the brush, and I am pressing it, and I’m pressing it in that center of her eye. I’m going to take that same brush, like we did with the contour. I’m taking off the white eye shadow. Now, I’m just going to blend a little. I found a lot of people who like to do one eye completely and blend it and have it done, and you do it perfect…and by the time you get to the other eye to do it, you forgot what you did, you are running out of time, you are late, and the two eyes will never match. So you just take your time, apply your lines, the colors blend and blend, and you back and forth and back and forth…your eyes will always match. They’ll be pretty, and one won’t look better than the other will. We applied a contour, her first contour color. We added the highlight right there on the ball of her eye. Now what I want to do is add a little color under her brow. Adding color under here will just emphasize the eyebrow and frame this whole area, so that’s what I’m going to do. I am going to add a little bit of color underneath her brow. I’m going to use the pink, and I am just going to apply it under here. So we used 3 colors. Alright, so it’s a plum smoky look."
