Lash Basics & Fake Eyelash Application Tips

"Hi I’m Yvette Parrish and thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today I am going to show you how to apply false eyelashes, how to make them stay and how to get that gorgeous look on your eyes. Here in the package looks like they are closed eyes and that is how you apply it. This eyelash goes on this eye and this eyelash goes on this eye. Do you notice how right here the eyelashes are shorter and then they get longer and fuller because this shorter end is intended for you to put on this side where your lashes are shorter and then they kind of get full at the end. So be kind of aware when you are putting them on. If you put them on the wrong eye, it is going to look all crazy and it’s not going to feel comfortable. You are going to be blinking, everybody is going to think you are winking at them and they are going to flip up and they are not going to be good. All eyelashes come one size fits all but we are not one size fits all so you are going to have to trim them. Nine out of ten times you are going to have to trim them. Don’t just take them out of the package and put them on unless you have a huge eye. So nine out of ten I have to trim them so that’s what I am going to do. I’m going to trim them. I’m going to take a little glue, squish out a little glue and I just kind of let it sit there and get tacky. Remove the eyelashes and like I said we are going to put this eyelash on this eye and this one on this eye. Whenever you are peeling the eyelashes off, always peel from this side and I will tell you why because if you accidentally pull too hard and you rip it or mess it up or anything, we are going to trim that end off anyway. If you peel it from this side which is a very crucial impart of the eyelash where we are going to apply it there, you just messed up your whole eyelashes and you blew it and you have to go get another pair and it’s not good.
