" Hi! I’m Yvette Parrish. Thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today, I’m going to show you how to apply makeup properly, professionally, and the use of brushes. We are going to start on the eye process of her beautiful makeover. We already applied the foundation. We shaped her eyebrows, and now we are going to do a really pretty natural golden eye. Eyes are so much fun and there are really not a lot of rules. I am going to give you some tips to some basic outlines, but it is wonderful, you can play with color, you can mix eye shadows together. I’ve smushed lipsticks and made them eye shadows and blushes, so the beauty of makeup is a creativeness and the artisticness in it. So there really are no rules, but I am just going to do a really beautiful warm eye and show you some different tools, the smaller the brush, the smaller the area you are working on. For example if you want to fill in the eyebrow right here, then use a tiny brush, because I want to fill in a tiny area, you do not want to use a big brush, boom Groucho Marx eyebrows, you know you don’t want to do that. So the smaller the area, the smaller sized brush. So if I am going to apply eyeliner then I want a skinny brush. If I am dusting the whole eye, then I can take a large brush. So kind of think about the area that you are working on, and if you only want to fill in a little part of the brow then just get a tiny little brush and fill that in, and you can get brushes from art stores, you can get them from department stores. A lot of these brushes actually are paintbrushes. As long as they are sable, squirrel hair, camel hair, if they are real hair, they will last for years and just take care of them and wash them and they will just last years. I think I have had some of these 7 or 8 years. "
