" Hi! I’m Yvette Parrish. Thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today, I’m going to show you how to apply makeup properly, professionally, and the use of brushes. So I applied a little bit of concealer. What I am going to do is take that powder that we were talking about earlier in the pressed form, and I am going to take a brush and I am just kind of going to grab some powder and I am going to tap it in, so that way, the powder is in the brush, and I am going to apply it down in a downward motion; because everyone has a little bit of hair on their face like peach fuzz, and if you apply the powder like this, you are going to make the hair stick up on the face, so we want to kind of push it all down….and I am just kind of going down. If you notice I am going over the eyebrows, I am going over the eyelid and everything. You can use a loose powder, that’s great, it is equal. Loose powder will probably give you more coverage, but it’s a little bit more messy and not as handy if you want to put it in your purse. Anytime I use a compact pressed powder, I try to always use a brush because, once again, it is more sanitary. I would go try to match the same shade as you did your foundation. If you are changing lines, let’s say for example you have an Avon foundation, Mac powder and a Revlon concealer, those three products really are not made to work together. So whatever foundation you really fall in love with, find the matching powder in that line. Whether it is Revlon or any line you have, try to get it, because they all are made to work together. "
