" Hi! I’m Yvette Parrish. Thanks for joining me at Expert Village. Today, I’m going to show you how to apply makeup properly, professionally, and the use of brushes. I am going to take a little bit of a concealer, and I am just going to apply a little bit under her eyes, and if you notice I always use my hand as a palette, you don’t want to take it directly from the product and put it there. That not only is not sanitary, it’s not professional and it’s just yucky—do not do it. You know what happens when you do concealer first without foundation: you wind up using a lot of concealer, because you are looking at all your flaws. You are like “I have to cover this, I have to cover this, I have to cover this,” and you put a lot of concealer, then you turn around and put more foundation on, and then you just got a thick look. So always put foundation on first and then you can see what little flaws you have, and that’s a common mistake that a lot of people do, that they just put concealer on first. You can put concealer on by itself too, but just don’t put it on first. "
