on 5/25/2009 Capri pants for petite women can be just as challenging as you described. I am 5' nothing and had a terrible time finding flattering capri pants. I never even carried them in my store because I didn't think they flattered. "Hi, my is Susan Jacobs a Personal Style Image Consultant and I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village to talk about dressing the petite body. In this segment is about crop pants and the length of crop pants. But before we talk about that it's great to define what is a crop pant, because there seems to be some confusion. A crop pant is the shorter version of the Capri. Capri pants hits our ankle, crop pant falls anywhere just below the knee and 3 to 4 inches longer. The one thing to keep in mind as a petite person wearing the crop pant is fit. We aways refer back to fit because it's very important, we never want to overwhelm. If your crop pant of choice fits you slim to the body, then it is quiet acceptable and often very flattering to wear a ballet flat or a flat shoe of your choice, not a flip flop. Flip flops tend to make us look shorter and more squatly, we don't want that. If you have crop pants that are a little more dressy and they're quiet fine in the workplace especially when you add a little jacket, then wearing a shoe like this one which is a wedge, this dresses it up, it adds the height, it makes us feel good and it makes us fabulous. Or a sandal like this is extremely appropriate and also as flattering for a petite body. If you are a more fuller figured petite, opt for a shoe that has a little heavier weight, but still open across the foot for a most flattering look."
