"Hi! My name is Susan Jacobs of Personal Style Image Consulting and on behalf of Expert Village; I'm here to talk to you today about older, better, but not necessarily harder to dress. In this clip, we're going to talk about necklines. One thing we know as when we age, the neck becomes an area of concern. As well as the upper body at the shoulders, so neck lines really do come into play all the time. A lot of women that I work with are concerned about the neck. Not necessarily do we want to cover it up with a turtleneck. Mocknecks are a good option. Scoop necks are very flattering as well, as they compliment the face. They open up the face a little and allow light to be reflected back. This is an example of a scoop neck; very flattering. Also, V-necks are the most universally flattering neckline regardless of age. Obviously, that's a great choice at any age, especially as you age. Again, it's a great way to showcase beautiful jewelry. If you're a person that's concerned that maybe your lower half is a little heavier than you like, then play up the top. Open up the neckline with the V-neck, wear your accessories, and distract the attention away from the problem area. This again, when you're talking about a jacket. Most often, jackets button up. If you can opt for a jacket with a single closure, a long V-neck; very flattering, very tailored, very again, flattering the face and gives you a place to accessorise. Avoid the asian style Japanese ____ kind of closures if the neck area is a concern to you. This V-neck top because of the embelishment here, also adds interest and definetly will focus the eye away from a problem area because this is an interesting place to look out. So not necessarily do we want to cover up the neck if we don't like the neck."
