"Hi, my name is Theresa and I'm here to show you base coat and why you should use it and how you should apply it on your nails. After you give yourself a manicure, even if you haven't given yourself a manicure, and you want to do your nails, you should always put a base coat on. A base coat will protect your nail plate from being stained. It'll help the polish stay on your nails longer and it'll help the polish go on evenly. So, I would suggest that you get a nail base coat and always have it while you're doing your manicures. And, I'm going to show you how to apply the base coat in three easy steps. This should be the basics of applying any polish; base coat, top coat. You want to take it out of the bottle, and being that this bottle is brand new, I'm going to have to go ahead and wipe it twice. You want to make sure that you have enough of the base coat on the brush to put on your nail. You want to go down the middle, once, and you want to go to the side, that's two, and then to the other side, that's three. Again, you want to go down the middle, to the side, and to the other side. I had enough base coat to do two nails. You want to go dip it again. Brushing it off twice, because this is a brand new bottle, and then apply three times. One, two, and three. You should not put anymore because then you'd be over applying. Let it dry and then get ready to apply your polish, and this is your base coat."
