"Hi, my name is Theresa and I'm here to show you and demonstrate to you on how to use a buffer and why you use one. When giving yourself a manicure, sometimes your base coat is left on there, sometime we have nail ridges on our nails and you want to make it nice and smooth. There are several types of buffers out there and I'm going to demonstrate to you or show you two of them. This one right here is more like a nail file. And this buffer right here is all the same coarse grit on each side. You want to use this one to go across your nail and it'll make a nice, white chalky looking film and that is telling you that it's getting all the dead skin off your nail plate, if you want to say. This is going to take it all off, a nice clean buff. This buffer right here is a four sided buffing block. Men like to use this one and sometimes women that don't like to use polish to give you that nice really high shine. There are four sides, and it'll tell you pretty much, you want to use the coarsest one first and you buff, then do the next one and you buff, and then do the final side and you buff, and it'll give you a nice beautiful shine, naturally when you don't need nail polish. You can find these at any beauty supply. There's lots of different grits, so make sure the coarser it is, the more it's going to take off your nails. So, you might want to get a fine one if you're not used to using one to take off the dead top layer of your nail and this is your buffing block."
