Applying Base Coat Polish in Manicures

"Hi, I am Theresa and I am here with Reyna. And we are going to show you one of the final steps to a manicure which is the base coat. The base coat, you want to put on your nails is very important. It's the first steps to the finishing steps of the manicure. This will help your nail in three ways. It will help protect your nail from the polish, from the staining your nails. It will help your nails hold on to the polish that you put on. And it will also help your nails stimulate them to grow because it protects the nails. I am going to show you how to apply the base coat in three easy steps. You want to use these three steps with everything that you apply to your nails. That way you can get a nice consistency with all of them. Being that this is a brand new bottle, I want to go ahead and open it and I want to wipe from side to side. I don't want too much on this but I want enough on there to get the nail. I am going to hold the nail. I am going to go down the center in one stroke. I am going to go down this side, that?s two strokes. I am going to go down to the other side and that's three strokes. And that covers your nail completely. I am going to then go to the next nail. I think I have enough on here, but if I don't I can just go and wipe one side. Go down the middle that is one. Go down the side that is two. And going down third side that is three. This is great because you know how much polish you are using. You know that is going to be the same on every nail. You know that you are going down from the bottom to the top. Very consistent. To make sure you don't get any polish or base coat to the side if you want you can squeeze back the skin. One, two, three, three easy strokes. The base coat will protect your nail, keep the polish on and help your nails grow. That's the base coat."
