"Hello. I'm Tom Wright from Gingerbread and Glass on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we're going to talk about combining our cane and diachronic glass. Here's the diachronic, here's the cane. What we'll do is get the diachronic nice and heated, reshape it really quickly, into something that will work for us, possibly something a little bit smaller. Once we have that shaped, we take the cane, now we're going to, (turn the torch down just a little bit), now we're going to wrap the cane around the outside of the diachronic and clear. Now it can be difficult to do this because the diachronic and the clear are so thick, while the cane is very small and teeny. So it takes a balance of both hands to spin and hold the rod correctly. We're just going to try and fill the sides of the diachronic here with the design in the cane. Hopefully, we made enough - it's always important to make enough of your cane because nothing is worse than getting into your project and then realizing that you're short on your cane. I think we will have enough. Once you get closer to the end here, we will take out our tweezers mashers again (turn up the heat really quick). Let all that glass get back together, and now the diachronic and the cane have been combined."
