" Hi! This is Tanya for Expert Village from Intuition Saloon and Spa. The next technique that we were talking about is aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is based on oils, essential oils, smells, aromas when you smell cookies you feel happy, you feel hungry, lemon and citrus seeds smell make you feel energized, lavender makes you feel relaxed. Your massage therapist can do something as simple as lighting a candle and putting in the room and that will release the smell or they can use a lotion and this is something that we use at Intuition is just milk and honey foot lotion and it just puts enough aroma into the air, it will allow you to feel or to experience that sensation. You can use oils on the body, tea tree oils help relax the body and help with the skin. There are different things that you can use but primarily it is a candle. Sometimes the massage therapist will have what is called the diffuser in the room and it just allows the whatever essential oil just diffuse into the air so that we can smell; and usually it is just an additional cost that you can add on to any massage. And that is aromatherapy. "
