How to Trim Fiberglass Nails

"This is Valda Sarty with Sarty Mountain Inc. on behalf of Expert Village. This step in the fiberglass nail application is trimming and blending the fiberglass nail tip. Using your nail cutters, find the length that you would like your client's nails to be, have them relax. Thank you. In tipping your nail cutter at about a 45 degree angle and holding it straight, gently cut the tip to the desired length. Then using your 180 grit file and staying on the plastic nail tip and not the natural nail bed, blend the tip to the nail bed. Smoothing and blending the tip will give a flawless finish. It is important to do this step well. Also be careful not to over file on the natural nail bed. You can check how well you blended the nail byu applying alcohol to see if you can still see where the fiberglass nail has been applied. "
