If you are a swimmer and you have treated hair you need to use a special care for it if you do get in the water and don't treat the hair before you get in. If it is porous and highlighted it does change color especially on blonds. You tend to get that green casting. It is removable but it does damage your hair and it's very drying. So it's so important to protect the hair before you get in chlorinated water. With special products they have for swimmers. So this applies to any type of salt water even just simply the sun just the natural elements. You just have to protect it even from the blow dryer. They have all types of maintenance products to keep the hair in the best integrity and color wise you want to keep it in the best condition as if you want it to stay just as beautiful as the day you left."
