"VERONICA BASS: I'm Veronica Bass from Veronica's Color Salon and Day Spa. In behalf of Expert Village, we are going to learn about hairstyles. I'm getting ready to make it smooth and sleek like she wants to; she wants super straight hair today. Her hair is naturally wavy so she wants it to be real straight today so I'm getting ready to iron and smooth it out. We're just going to section then you just run it through and it makes it sleek. This is called a flat iron, you can curl or flat iron with it. There is a lot of benefits to flat ironing your hair if you have curly hair and it looks like--it looks dry because of the natural texture, it makes it shiny, it smoothes the cuticle and it makes it appear longer especially if you have curly hair because it is--that length its just shrinks a lot when it's curly."
