"Here we have an example of different cuts of diamonds. First one is an emerald cut. It's very popular today. It was, it's a retro cut. It was started out as an original cut because that was utilizing the most of the diamond back in the periods of the 30's and 40's and 50's. The advancement of all the other cuts have improved what a diamond really does as far as assimilate and draw out the color. This is a modified square cut. It's called a princess and it takes off from the round brilliant. This is a marquis, which has the sharp corners, the pointed ends. And this is the pear shape, which takes from a round as well but gives you the extended point. Here is the most common and the best cut of all stones is the standard round brilliant cut. It delivers more prismatic affect than any other stone considering the fact that it is cut properly. And it utilizes most of the diamond that's yielded from the ground."
