"Hi this is Vic Sosikian I'm with Mark Matthew Fine Gentleman's Grooming Club in Studio City on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we are going to be talking about preparing for a good shave. Here at Mark Matthew we offer the straight razor shave the classic old fashion shave as part of our services. I'm going to be talking about the steps you can take to have the same experience at home. First what you want to do is only shave after a hot shower this way the pores of your skin are opened up. Then what you want to do is you if you cant get into a hot shower before a shave you can take a regular old cotton towel. Make it really hot using hot water and apply to your face gently you want to make sure that you get the all around your face or wherever you need the hairs to be shaved. Next you want to do is pick up a bottle of high quality of crusade oil. Basically what this does you can go ahead and put a little dab into your hands. Rub your hands together and apply it to your face. why this is important? This loosens up the beard and opens up your pores even further best of all it makes your razor glide more easily. What you want to do after you put on this is go ahead and put the shaving cream which we would talk more in/during the next clip. "
