As the sands of time blow across the cultural landscape of our generation, male gender roles continue to shift ever so slightly. Behavior that was once considered normal and appropriate has been classified as old-fashioned, or even chauvinistic. While once a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a slicked-back D.A. and comb in your pocket were the established fashion musts, they have all been replaced by a more modern, sophisticated look for men…a look that is clean, well-groomed, and focused on appearance as much as attitude.
In this free male grooming video series, learn about supplies and techniques used to groom the modern man. Get important tips on getting a haircut, taking care of your nails, using the right shampoo, hair styling products, shaving your beard, cologne, dealing with body hair, and basic skin care. It’s everything you need to know to impress a woman… as far as personal hygiene is concerned, that is.
"Hi this is Vic Sosikian with Mark Matthew Fine Gentleman's Grooming Club in Studio City on behalf of Expert Village. IN this clip we are going to talk about haircuts as a part of a men's part of grooming regiment. It is really important that you make sure that you have a good place to go to for good haircuts. While clippers do get the job done the scissors would be able to give you a more precision haircut and be able to better enhancer to the grooves, bumps and the scalp on the head. It is very important that barbers and styles use primarily scissors on your haircut. The reason for that is every scalp, every head has different grooves, has different bumps and curves and sometimes the clippers are not able to get into the right place. Basically you can't enhance to all the bumps and the curves. A scissor on the other hand held by professional barber or styles would be able to work around every scalp, every lump in the head and make sure you have the best possible haircut. "

on 8/2/2008 clippers in the hands of a true professional craftsman will always give a much better haircut than scissors- however, a person who is unable to handle a pair of clippers will often times opt for the more forgiving, less precise scissors. there is a technique called a clipper-over-comb technique used for the "grooves bumps and curves" in a clients head.
