"I'm Pat Haywood with A Time to Relax on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment we're going to talk about how to find a masseuse that fits you. I am finding that the best way is to just ask around to people that have had massages. Of course, since I am a massage therapist, I happen to know quite a few massage therapists and so I like to recommend or talking to people, giving them tips on exactly what kind of massage therapist they would be looking for, they would need. A lot of massage therapists can alter their massages to fit whatever the need is for the person. But, you'll probably have to try them out to see if in fact they're going to be the one that you are comfortable with. For me, finding a massage therapist is one of the toughest to do because, for me, the key, between you and your massage therapist is trust. Trust in that whatever they're doing as they're doing their manipulations that it's not going to harm you or that it's not going to be too much pressure, which in fact sometimes people, some people just can't take much pressure at all. So that's a key thing, trust in your massage therapist being able to communicate with you is really key. They're not going to know if you don't talk. Probably the average rate for a full body massage is going to be between fifty, fifty-five, sixty dollars. Sometimes you might go to a hotel or a resort and they're going to be higher, or on a cruise. But, normally around the city, you're going to find a fairly good massage therapist around, between fifty and sixty dollars. In my case I do not only the full body massages, I'll do like a half hour for which I, my rate would be half of what a full body would be. I do a chair massage, a chair massage is fifteen minutes and that's a dollar a minute so that one would be fifteen dollars. So, it just varies. I personally would do even just the face, or just the hands, or just the feet if the individual wanted it and just charge accordingly. So, rates can vary."
