"I'm Pat Haywood with A Time to Relax on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip we're going to talk about some of my equipment here in the house. By the way, this is my home. I feel that the living room is a good environment for relaxation, I have the music going and usually candles lit, with minimum light in here. What I have on the table here is the oil that I use and I prefer to use grape seed oil only because I learned a long time ago that the best thing to use on your body is an oil that you could actually use in cooking or that is edible so I prefer the grape seed oil. For one thing it gives me a nice glide and it's not quite as oily, it doesn't leave stains on the clothes so that's what I've got here. Here's my chair that I use. Mostly I'm using the chair when I'm either working on the head and the back of the neck. The table is set up so that I've always got like a bolster underneath the knees when the client is face up or supine. And then when they're on their back I put this bolster underneath their ankles so it supports the back so it doesn't, so that their back doesn't ache while they're on the table because they're lying in one position for about a half an hour on each side so the bolster is really important. I do have a head rest that goes in here for when they are face down and that way again, there's a comfort zone, a place for them to put their head and not strain their neck at all. I also use heating pads, I always use a heating pad for the back of the back and I use a heating pad while I'm working on the back of the legs. I've got the heating pad on their back the whole time. It's a moist heat so that by the time I get to their back then their back is nice and warmed up, if they had any muscles that were really sore this kind of helps it for me to go in and work on them. I also use the heating pad when they do face up sometimes across this area because I do work in the pectoral area when they are face up. That's pretty much it for what my materials are, other than the music, I always have the music going, a soft music. If the client want they can bring their own CD, whatever makes them relax the best and again the candles to give it a soft atmosphere."
