"Now I'm going to go over all of the items that you need to make henna art. First of all you'd start with the henna powder, and this is the natural green powder that you buy before you mix the paste. This is an already mixed bottle with an applicator tip called a jack card bottle. Normally this is found in a craft store for dying silks, but a lot of henna artists use this to apply henna because you can buy different sized tips that are easily removable and get very fine detail. Also, this is a skewer that you use for barbecuing chicken but a lot of henna artists also use this when you apply the henna. You can make very fine corrections or shading with the tip and also use it to scrape off if you make a mistake and you want to correct it. Those are very handy to have. Q-tips or cottons swabs are also very good to have for shading techniques, and also for correcting a mistake or adjusting a line. This is a box of the henna I use, and it's called Jamila. It comes in a box of a hundred grams that you can buy. We'll go over later where to find good quality henna. That's basically what you'll need to start to do a henna design."
