"Hi, my name is Rachel Perelli Randlolf here with Expert Village on how to choose a handbag. And right now I'm going to be talking about the most important thing: trying it on. When you're at that store you're looking at so many different handbags and we talk about so many different things, but trying it on is very important. Comfort is the key. You want to be able to fit it around your shoulder and be like "oooh, look at me, wow. This fits really nicely around my shoulder, and I'm going to be able to carry this around for hours at a time and also look really fashionable doing it." You have the chains, it's nice to put your arm down to, there's nothing banging it. Very nice! You also want to look at straps. Straps are very important. For example, this bag. You can be able to take off the strap, it's very handy, but when you put it around like a shoulder bag you want to be able to have your hands free. And most of the time when you have a shoulder bag you can put it around your neck and be able to have your hands free when you have a baby or you're carrying anything you need, you're shopping and you have so many different bags. It's so useful, and it's really great. Also, you don't want to have a strap that's digging into your shoulder because it can cause so much wear and tear on your back and blisters and, just, you don't want that. So make sure you try it right on before you buy it. Also, when you have a clutch, you're holding on, there's nothing holding onto you, so you want to hold it kind of like this. More fashionable, people in magazines always hold it like this, kind of cool. So it's very important just to make sure you have it, if you're going to buy a clutch make sure you remember there really isn't anything but you holding it on. You don't have straps or anything like that. But, up next we are going to be talking about how to be fashionable but not fake with the handbags."
