"So one of the most important things that you can begin to be aware of, because everybody has plenty of candles around their house, is what is your candle made of. Most candles are made of paraffin. It was the first ingredient that people, a long time ago, figured out how to burn and to make into a candle. Paraffin is very toxic, it's a petroleum byproduct that leaves soot. It burns inorganically and usually the wick has some kind of lead content. So what more and more people are switching to are soy based candles with essential oils. Fragrance oils in traditional candles are also very, very synthetic. A lot of people are allergic to synthetic fragrance oils now a days. So what we use in our hand poured soy candles here at Green Bliss are essential oils. Their throw is more pure. Which means the aroma scent that moves out into the room is broader. You smell the candle before you even enter the room. Because it's soy, it burns completely clean and the wick is all cotton, there's no lead in it. So this is a pure, clean burning candle. Because it's using essential oils we're working on the aromatherapy properties so it's not only something that smells pleasant and beautiful in your home, it's working on you psychically, emotionally, and spiritually, too. This particular scent is ylang ylang, it's a very exotic flower, it brings about a sense of bliss, harmony and well being. "
