" Hi my name is Rick Wyckoff and you can check out our website at avatart2.com and I am here on behalf of Expert Village.com, and I’m talking about designing a tattoo; how to create your own design or work with an artist to create a design for you. Most shops have what is called flash designs or design sheets hanging up all over the shop where you pick a pre-made design like this and they create a stencil from an archive of line drawings that they have and they put the stencil on you and reproduce what is on the paper. They do this over and over again on hundreds of different people. So rather than a tattoo separating you from other people acting as a social filter you are actually blending in with the masses per say. So at our shop we only do custom tattooing which means we create each design for each person. Now in coming up with a design or an idea for a design, a lot of people look to magazines. There is a variety of different publications. Also, the internet has become a common resource for people to come up with ideas or try to find designs. The only problem with that is all of these designs are already on somebody. In other words, it is somebody else’s sentiment they’ve had created and applied to their bodies as a tattoo."
