Applying First Section of Hair Dye

"Ok. Now, we're ready to apply color. And, you want to start with half inch sections starting with the back of the head. I want to make half inch sections. And, once you get started it's pretty easy to follow along the process. If you have a color bottle that has a point on it, you're going to use the point as your tool. So, I'm going to. Can you lean your head forward? There we go. See why you need a friend to help you? You actually put that color on and the only place I want that color to be is on the new growth. I don't want that color anywhere else in the hair. I don't want it to go down the shaft of the hair or anywhere else in the hair. Just on the new growth. And, you're going to follow that in little half inch sections. That's all you do. Take your next section. And, as you can see with the hair being slightly damp it's pretty easy to see where the color belongs. Myra, I'm going to get you to help me. Can you take your hand and hold that? There we go. And, then you can move right along. You almost need a third hand. There's no way to do this process by yourself. Can you see how I'm sectioning that? Applying the color to each section. And, you can literally see the color is on the new growth. And, we're going to follow this through half inch sections all the way through each quarter of the hair. Each quadrant, working from the back toward the front. And, that's how you start the color process."
