"Previous to hair color you want to make sure that you've clarified shampoo, you've used a clarifying shampoo, and shampooed the hair to get any buildup that might be in the hair of products, or previous color, or sometimes even if you take medication, it comes out in your hair. After the clarifying shampoo, I want to follow with a deep conditioner, something with a protein in it, and we want to really saturate the ends and the dry hair in this process. And, this is Myra, and her hair is very dry, and it is really, really drinking up this conditioner. So, I'm going to put that in really good. I'm going to follow it with my large tooth comb. You can almost see how dry her hair is. And, in this process, you actually would cover her hair with a plastic cap, and let this conditioner stay in for about ten minutes, prior to rinsing, to get the optimal results. So, the conditioner is in her hair really good. We'll cover that with a plastic cap, and that will process for about ten minutes."
