"Before we start spray tanning, I want to make sure that you know what you're using. Really do your homework. All of the self tanners, whether it be a lotion or a spray, has the DHA as your active ingredient. What we use is like a prescription strength. It has the most amount of DHA allowed by the FDA so what you buy at the store is not going to be as strong or last as long and you might need one or two applications before it actually achieves what we can achieve in one session. I want to show you a small area and do your test ahead of time before you spray your skin, but this is actually, see it's kind of a real ashy base. Some of them have an orange base. You want to make sure that the color substance is this ash base so your skin does not turn orange. Make sure it's got the ash base. That's going to assure the proper color. Make sure you've done a test ahead of time; know how much pressure is coming out of your spray, whether it be a can or a sprayer. You want to make sure that you know what you're getting into before you get started. And this is totally different than your lotions. Make sure you're definitely using a spray solution when doing a spray session. So do your homework ahead of time so you have a beautiful spray tan."
