" Hello, my name is Shalon Delgado and on behalf of Expert Village I’m here today to talk to you about safety. Now safety in the model business is very important. You always want to make sure that you let someone know where you’re going, when you’re suppose to be there, how long an estimated time that your shooting. You also want to research your client, make sure to get references from whoever you’re working with and check those references also. They should have a webpage up, if they’re legit and they should also, their references should be able to tell you what kind of work they do and what they expect out of you as a model. You also want to find out where they want to go with your shoot so that you don’t get there and find out that you’re shooting something totally different than what you expected to shoot and what is the purpose. Are you getting paid for this or not? On the other hand you want to check with your state and find out what is legal for you to carry as far as safety and protection. Every state is different but you want to have some kind of protection on you at all times and especially you want to have a cell phone that works and make sure that your battery is charged when you’re going on a shoot because a 911 call is so important if you need to make it. You want to try to have someone go with you if possible, if you have a makeup artist that you take with you, take a makeup artist or a hairstylist or a wardrobe specialist, just to have someone there with you when you go on a shoot. Not to make any kind of decisions on how you shoot but as a safety precaution. Thank you for visiting me today, you may visit my website at www.myspace.com/shalon711, have a great day."
