" Hello, my name is Shalon Delgado and I’m here on behalf of Expert Village to talk to you today about modeling. One of the topics I’d like to speak with you about is a resume. As you know it’s very important to have a resume in any job market, especially in the modeling industry. It’s unlike any other industry in the world, everyone is looking at your resume to find out what kind of experience you have. So we want to include the basic format of a resume including the goals and objectives, your work history, experience and most of all your contact information. You want to make sure that you have your 5 to 10 year goals written out on your resume so that people that you submit your resume to can see where you want to be in the next 5 to 10 years. They can push you that far, they can push you to where you need to be. Your work history, you may not have work history in the modeling industry, so you want to make sure that you include your regular work history. So that when you submit your resume people know that you’ve had a job, you’ve held a job and you’re dependable. Now, your contact information is so vital on a resume because if you submit your information and someone doesn’t believe that you’ve actually done this type of work. How are they going to know? They need to contact someone who can vouch for you to make sure that you’ve actually done the work that you say you’ve done. So once again we want to include our goals, work history and experience and your contact information, updated of course. The difference between a model resume and a regular resume is that you want to also include a headshot but we’ll talk to you in a different segment about headshots. So you can visit me at www.myspace.com/shalon711, thank you for listening."
