Video Transcript

"Hi my name is Melisa Brown and we are doing Swedish massage today. We are going to be working on something that everybody loves and that is the feet. It is not reflexology but just working on the feet. I am going to put my thigh in a very comfortable position for them. I am going to be using my torso to be leaning and giving the pressure. There are several ways that we can do this. We can use massage tools that you can find on line or we can do it with our thumbs, knuckles. These knuckles, any boney part, even our elbows. I like to give it a nice rub doing the kneading, the same thing we did on the leg. Give it a good kneading and the reason it is a good angle having them looking down is because it is a better angle going into the foot. If they were to sit the other way then you would to be going underneath the foot a little bit more. This is always when they are looking down it is a little bit easier to better access. Now if I am going to be doing any type of acupressure points I am using my elbow so I am saving my fingers. I can also do a lot of things with my knuckles, even pressing down even with a rocking motion using my knuckles which happen to be very boney it is very convenient for me. And you remember to use the whole foot, access all the foot including the toes, don’t forget the toes. See you in the next segment."
