"Hi, I'm Michelle Renee from the Michelle Renee Makeup Artist Group here in Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village we're gonna show you how to apply makeup on women of color. Now that we have the primer on we're on to foundation. Now foundation could be very difficult to find for women of color. What I'd like to do is get samples and try samples before I actually buy the product. Wear it, see how it wears on your skin and occasionally if you have oily skin the foundation will get darker. So you might have to go one or two shades lighter when you actually purchase a foundation. But experiment and remember look at what your skin is telling you and listen to it. Right now Shavon skin tone is pretty even. We've already put the primer on. With darker skin ladies I have notice that they have two tones. Where the sun hits them naturally the forehead the chin occasionally at the side they are going to be a darker color than the inside of their face. Now depending on where you want to go if you want a lighter or a darker color. I tend to start with the lighter color in this area and work my way out. There is a couple things that you can do with the darkness on the forehead and the chin area. You can go in with a foundation brush after you've placed the color and gently smooth in a darker color onto the neck. Or you can place the color that is seen on the inside, the nose and the cheekbone area. Place it and then get a darker bronze or a powder and blend it in the neck area. Right now, Shavon is pretty even tone so I'm gonna use one foundation color on her face and then I'll demonstrate with a darker bronzer, how to go in and blend into the neck. "
