" Hi! This is Moira from Beauty By Moira. On behalf of expertvillage.com, I’m continuing on with a manicure. We have just finished the lovely massage. Now, we’re going to be applying a base coat and starting our polish in a minute. But you don’t want to leave your client all oily. So pushing in the direction of the heart, we’re gently rubbing off the excess oil. I have got my lovely base coat. A base coat is… it helps the polish on longer. It helps it not to yellow. It’s a good thing. You’ve got to have a base coat. That allows the polish to dry by the time you have done the other hand. Dry enough that you can put on your polish. "
