" Hi! I’m Moira of Beauty By Moira. I’m going to discuss nail files on behalf of expertvillage.com. There are all different kinds of files and buffers. They all come in different grits, shapes and sizes. This one happens to be a boomerang file, I kind of like it because it is round and you can go around the nail easier than a straight one. It all depends on the manicurist’s preference or the client who is buying it preference. Normally, on a regular nail, you would use very fine grit. This is a two-sided file. A lot of them come two-sided. A coarser grit on one side and a finer grit on the other. I do a lot of artificial nails as well as regular nails and you need a heavier grit so that you can work on those artificial nails. But for a person’s nail you need a finer grit when you are working on them. Then of course a buffer which I used prior in another segment. There are different kinds of buffers. They come looking like a nail file, not necessarily like a sponge square. It depends on what the person would like to use."
